Current open positions:

Two open PhD student positions at Kancera and Karolinska Institutet (see below)

The PhD positions are part of the Marie Curie ITN European SYNTRAIN network. The students will be employed by Kancera AB. The research will be conducted both at Kancera AB and at the Helleday laboratory at Karolinska Institutet (KI). The student will have a main supervisor at KI with a co-supervisor at Kancera. The doctoral education at KI is four years.

he following Marie-Curie criteria for eligibility must be respected:
Early-stage researchers (ESRs) are in the first four years (full-time equivalent) of their research careers, starting at the date of obtaining their master’s degree (or similar).
Mobility: All nationalities can apply, but you can only apply to a project which is hosted in a country in which you did not reside or carry your main activity (such as work or study) for more than 12 months within the last 3 years. This excludes short stays such as holidays or compulsory national service.

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic doctoral student to characterize the mechanisms behind the interference of PFKFB3 inhibitors with genome stability [NS1] (the DNA damage response) in cancer cells. The research project will be conducted in collaboration between Kancera AB and the Helleday laboratory at Karolinska Institutet.

  • Doctoral (PhD) student position on exploiting immune signaling and DNA damage response interactions in cancer

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic doctoral student to work on how immune-response mediators could influence the acute mechanisms of DNA damage response. The research project will be conducted in collaboration between Kancera AB and the Helleday laboratory at Karolinska Institutet.
